Uzbekistan plans to increase trade turnover with Afghanistan to $3 bln in the near future

Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have set an ambitious goal: to triple the trade turnover between the two countries in the near future. That is, it is planned to bring the trade turnover to an impressive 3 billion dollars.

This year they want to reach the mark of 1 billion dollars. This was reported by the press service of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

For further development of trade relations, the parties are taking a number of measures. From October 1, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan will cancel import duties on 14 types of goods, which will reduce the cost of products and stimulate mutual trade.

In addition, Uzbekistan's trade exhibition has successfully opened in Kabul, where businessmen of the two countries will be able to discuss prospects for cooperation and sign new contracts.
