Washington is discussing with Kiev which territories it will keep and which it will lose as a result of the conflict settlement, as well as other elements of the final agreement in this regard. This was stated by American President Donald Trump at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the Oval Office of the White House, Sky News reports.
“It's about the power plant. A very big power plant. Who gets the power plant? Who gets this or that? It's not an easy process,” the American leader said, without going into details.
Also, the US President noted that the Ukrainian side touched on the topic of NATO and joining the alliance. Trump emphasized that “everyone knows what the answer to this is and has known this answer for 40 years.”
Among other things, Trump said that with Ukraine discussed territorial concessions that it is ready to make for a peaceful settlement of the conflict with Russia. At the same time, the head of the White House emphasized that first of all it is necessary to achieve a ceasefire on the Russian side.
