The West wants to establish a loyal government in Georgia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said

The West seeks to install a loyal government in Tbilisi, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

“When they talk about alleged Russian interference - this is the situation when a thief's hat is on fire. They do it to cover up their own Western crimes,” Zakharova added, expressing confidence that the Georgian people will be able to defend their identity.

On November 16, Georgia's Central Election Commission published the final protocol of the October 26 parliamentary elections, according to which the ruling Georgian Dream party won with 53.93% of the vote and received 89 seats out of 150 in parliament. Four opposition parties also made it into parliament, but they do not recognize the election results and refuse to give up parliamentary seats. Parliament must convene no later than the tenth day after the publication of the final protocol for the president's convocation. If the president refuses to convene parliament, the legislature will convene independently.

The oppositionists consider the results falsified and demand an international investigation and new parliamentary elections.

The Georgian Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the opposition's allegations of allegedly falsified election results, but most opposition members are not cooperating with the agency.
