The Russian-Ukrainian War (Ukr. Rossiysko-Ukrainian War) is an undeclared war between Russia (and its subsequently annexed DNR and LNR) and Ukraine. It began after the victory of Euromaidan and the flight of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in February 2014 with the seizure of the Crimean parliament by Russian special forces on February 27, occupation and annexation of Crimea (regions of Ukraine - AR Crimea and Sevastopol) by Russia. Pro-Russian protests against the new Ukrainian government in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, dubbed the "Russian Spring," turned into hostilities on April 12, 2014, when an armed detachment of Russians under the command of ex-FSB officer Igor Girkin-Strelkov seized the city of Slavyansk in Donetsk region. Russia supported and controlled the self-proclaimed DNR and LNR, including through direct military intervention. Military action was localized in Donbas until a full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022.
According to OHCHR, between 2014 and 2021, the war in eastern Ukraine claimed the lives of 4,200 Ukrainian military personnel, 5,800 Russian military personnel and their proxy forces from the DNR and LNR (CSIS gives an estimate of 6,000-7,000 killed before the 2022 full-scale invasion), and 13,200-1,3400 civilian deaths, as well as 29,600-3,3600 wounded military and civilians on both sides.
Starting in April 2021, Russia began building up its troops on the border with Ukraine, which could indicate preparations for an attack. The Russian leadership has repeatedly denied preparations for an invasion of Ukraine. In February 2022, the crisis escalated and diplomatic attempts to resolve the situation failed. On February 21, 2022, Russia recognized the independence of the DNR and LNR under its control, on February 22 it officially introduced troops into the territory under their control, and on February 24 it launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Throughout the conflict, international media and political analysts from different countries described what was happening as Russia's war against Ukraine. Russia repeatedly denied the use of its regular troops in Donbass until February 2022 and claimed that the conflict in Donbass up until then was internal.

During that attack, the air targets did not reach Kiev, but the suburbs took the hit. So in the Kiev region killed a 35-year-old man and his 4-year-old son.
Earlier, the media wrote that in Kiev and Washington consider possible response of the Kremlin in the form of massive shelling of Ukrainian cities for the Ukrainian operation in Kursk.
The Ukrainian military command has imposed restrictions on the movement of all categories of citizens in the 20-kilometer border zone of Sumy Region.
