Speakers of the Kazakh-Russian lower house of parliament held meeting in Moscow



According to the press service of the Majlis (lower house of parliament), Kazakhstan Majlis Speaker Erlan Khosanov, who is visiting the Russian Federation, met with Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Assembly (lower house of parliament) Vyache in Moscow on the 4th. Slav Volodin.


During the meeting, the two sides discussed the cooperative relations between the two countries. Khosanov pointed out that Russia has always been Kazakhstan’s reliable ally, strategic partner and good neighbor.


- A reliable political dialogue has been established between our two countries, as well as close economic and people-to-people relations, as well as a solid contractual and legal framework. These relationships are getting stronger every year. Our leaders Hastyom-Dhomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin have taken our cooperation to a new level. -He said.

Khosanov said that Majlis attaches great importance to further strengthening the cooperative relationship with the Russian State Duma and invited Vyacheslav Volodin to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.


He also pointed out that the parliaments of the two countries have carried out close collaboration within the framework of international and regional organizations and have in-depth exchanges of experience in the field of legislation.


Majlis Speaker of Kazakhstan pointed out that Kazakhstan and Russia share the longest border in the world, with 8 states of Kazakhstan adjacent to 12 regions of Russia. In addition, inter-regional and border area trade accounts for 70% of the trade volume between the two countries.


Khosanov also talked about the importance of cooperation in the fields of culture and education. According to him, there are currently 6 Russian universities with branch campuses in Kazakhstan.
