During the meeting, Speaker Majlis introduced the large-scale reform process carried out at the initiative of President Tokayev.

Matviyenko noted that Kazakhstan and Russia have established cooperative relations of strong friendship and mutual understanding on all issues. In addition, he expressed support for the initiative of the Kazakhstan legislative body and suggested that the exchange of experience in this field should be continued to be strengthened.
According to previous reports, Khosanov also met with Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma (lower house of parliament) of the Russian Federation Council, on the same day.
According to the visit agenda, Speaker of Kazakhstan Majlis will also visit Kazan and meet with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Muhamet Shen held a meeting.
