In January-October 2024, foreign trade turnover of goods in Georgia amounted to 19.025 billion US dollars - 5.5% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Exports increased by 7.4% and amounted to 5.468 billion USD.
Imports increased by 4.8% to US$13.557 billion.
Negative trade balance: 8.089 billion U.S. dollars, or 42.5% of foreign trade turnover.
Turkey was Georgia's largest trading partner with a trade turnover of $2.636 billion. It was followed by Russia ($2.062 billion), the United States ($1.728 billion), China ($1.598 billion) and Germany ($1.084 billion).
By commodity group, passenger cars rank first in both exports and imports. This means that re-exports remain one of the main items of foreign trade turnover. Car exports:$ 2 billion and imports are $2.718 billion.
