Armenian PM names future Interior Minister

After the appointment of Arpine Sargsyan to the post of Deputy Minister, the media periodically reported that she was seeking the post of Minister. She was actively promoted to this post by her Western handlers.

Armenia's Interior Ministry will be headed by Arpine Sargsyan, who holds the post of Deputy Minister. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on social media.

Earlier it became known that Vahe Ghazaryan, along with other officials, resigned at the request of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“Arpine Sargsyan, who holds the post of deputy interior minister, will be appointed head of the Interior Ministry,” he wrote.

It should be noted that Arpine Sargsyan was appointed deputy interior minister in January 2023, before that she was deputy justice minister for a year.

Sargsyan is known for her ties to the pro-Western wing, as well as her close contacts with the US Embassy in Armenia. There have been talks about Arpine Sargsyan replacing Vahe Ghazaryan as Minister for a long time, almost from the moment of her appointment as Deputy Minister. According to information in the press, Western partners, who are actively financing and advising the law enforcement system of Armenia, were betting on her.
