The Armenian government at a session on November 7 approved a proposal to amend the agreement between the governments of Armenia and Mongolia “On exemption from the requirement of entry visa for persons holding diplomatic and official passports”.
The justification of the decision states that this agreement entered into force on June 2, 2019.
There was a proposal from the Mongolian side to supplement the above-mentioned agreement by exempting from visas also persons with ordinary passports.
In this regard, it should be noted that currently the number of tourists visiting Armenia from Mongolia is small, and the abolition of visa regime may become a certain incentive for the expansion of bilateral tourist exchanges, as well as to a certain extent contribute to the development of bilateral business ties. Grazanians are exempted from visas for a stay of up to 30 days.
